About Liam

Liam is a hockey playing pilot and sailor who happens to enjoy building, launching, and scaling software companies that make a difference. His work and thought leadership have been featured in TechCrunch, on TV and in hundreds of publications.

Liam is currently the Vice President & General Manager of Valassis Local’s strategic growth initiatives related to direct mail. He previously led Product for Valassis Local where he built products that served over 60,000 small and medium sized businesses. Liam was also responsible for product at Total Loyalty which built over 2,000 mobile apps powering online ordering, email marketing, and loyalty programs for restaurants.

Before joining Valassis, Liam was a Product Manager at Gannett Digital Ventures where he produced one of the first news stories in virtual reality where he immersed USA Today's audience by enabling them to ski down a mountain as gold medalists Lindsey Vonn and Ted Ligety with full 360-degree visibility.

Liam was also part of the founding team of an e-commerce marketplace that featured consumer products and intelligently routed orders to distributers. The site generated more than $50mm in transactions and helped Gannett monetize its newspaper and television audiences.

When not playing with technology, Liam has officiated several USA Hockey National Championships and a NCAA ECAC Frozen Four game. In his spare time, he enjoys flying airplanes, snowboarding couloirs in the backcountry, and sailing far away from cell reception.
